Last week, we took a cruise around San Francisco Bay. No surprise, it was very foggy. But, toward the end of our adventure something suddenly appeared -- Alcatraz. The setting seemed appropriate -- a desolate, deserted island emerging quietly from the fog. What do you think?

The pictures are perfect for a ghost story! I actually toured Alcatraz a couple of years ago and found it absoloootly fascinating, as well as depressing (duh). We went on a non-foggy day as I remember, but I'm sure it's a lot more eerie when fog envelopes the area. It's plenty eerie enough even without the fog, however.
I did go on the evening tour inside the prison, I will be posting those photos also. It was one of the best tours I have ever been on!
